Ōnin Staffing is seeking a reliable Yard Dog to move semi-trailers within a distribution yard, supporting loading and unloading operations. The role emphasizes safety, outdoor work, and precise maneuvering in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has hauling experience, a valid driver's license (CDL not required), and a track record of working independently with attention to detail. Weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Prior hauling experience required; candidates must pass a road test.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is not required.
• Strong backing and maneuvering skills.
• Ability to haul and position trailers within a yard environment.
• Ability to work independently and stay detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard tractors (yard dogs) to safely move and position trailers throughout the yard.
• Spot trailers at designated dock doors for loading and unloading.
• Hook and unhook trailers, ensuring proper and secure connections.
• Perform daily yard checks and basic pre- and post-trip inspections of yard equipment.
• Maintain yard organization, keeping lanes clear and operations flowing smoothly.
• Assist with general yard or production duties as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
