Job summary

Paul’s Auto Yard is seeking a yard technician to dismantle vehicles and related equipment, focusing on extracting nonferrous metals and catalysts. The role requires handling of tools and maintaining material segregation while following safety and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will maintain accurate inventory records and build positive relationships with customers and vendors to promote repeat business, working in a fast-paced salvage yard environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience using a cutting torch and other hand tools to dismantle vehicle and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Extract catalytic converters and other nonferrous materials.
• Ensure materials are properly segregated.
• Assist in maintaining inventory records and tracking movement of materials.
• Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
