Herc Rentals in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Yard Technician to keep the yard clean and organized, assist truck drivers and customers, and ensure equipment safety and readiness. This entry point role offers growth into Driver, Mechanic, ProSales, and Sales/Operations pathways.

You will learn to load/unload, verify tickets, perform safety checks, and provide expert equipment guidance, while supporting the team in a fast-paced rental environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Help to load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Clean, maintain, and organize heavy equipment and machinery.
• Review orders and stage equipment for drivers.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure safety and operability.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard and work area.
• Answer and resolve customer questions.
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection, operation and maintenance.
• Support all team members.

What you will do...

• Help to load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers

Requirements

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods


• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including stretching, turning, twisting, and reaching overhead


• Ability to bend, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for extended periods

Pay Range:$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
