ENCON Equipment in Jeffersonville, Indiana is seeking a Yard Technician to keep our equipment in top shape. You’ll inspect rental gear, perform basic maintenance, prep for rental, and help customers with safe operations. You’ll work in a fast-paced outdoor yard and use forklifts with training provided.

What You’ll Do:

• Inspect and perform basic maintenance on rental equipment, including cleaning, servicing, and ensuring safety features are operational.
• Prepare equipment for rental, conducting pre-rental inspections and assisting customers with safe loading and unloading.
• Maintain an organized yard, ensuring equipment is stored properly and easily accessible.
• Assist with inventory management, including routine checks to track equipment condition and placement.
• Report any equipment damage or malfunctions for servicing.
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move large equipment (training provided if needed).
• Follow all safety procedures to maintain a clean and secure work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting with equipment operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Reliable and hardworking with a strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience in equipment maintenance, construction, or a related field is a plus, but we will train the right person.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an active, outdoor environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Safety-conscious with a willingness to follow strict safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license required.
