Holt of California, Inc. is seeking a yard associate to assist with rental returns and checkouts at our facility. You will help customers on site, inspect equipment, and ensure machines are ready for the next rental.

Responsibilities include assisting with loading, performing safety checks, prepping machines, and coordinating with the shop for repairs. A valid driver's license and basic math and reading skills are required.

Qualifikationen

• High School or GED and 1–2 years related yard experience or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver license and a clean DMV driving report.

• Check in equipment and perform a safety check to ensure the machine is in the same condition as rented.
• Check out equipment by helping customers with loading and providing instructions regarding attachments or other items.
• Initial inspection after rental return to ensure machine is in good working condition.
• Prepare machines for rental by cleaning and checking all fluids and that safety features are working.
• Add oil, check tires, replace or repair minor parts and/or accessories as needed.
• Tag equipment that needs repairs (red tag) and coordinate with service.
• Ensure machines are rent-ready, steam cleaned, and placed on the ready line with proper location.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading and unchaining equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist customers arriving or picking up equipment from the location.
• Check in equipment and do a safety check to see that machine is in the same condition as it was rented.
• Check out equipment by assisting customers with loading equipment and provide any instructions that are needed regarding attachments or other items.
• After rental return initial inspection, check to ensure machine is in good working condition.
• Prepare machine for rental by cleaning and checking all fluids and that safety features are working properly.
• Responsible for adding oil, airing tires, replacing, or repairing minor parts, and/or accessories on equipment.
• Red tag equipment that need repairs.
• Work with rental coordinators and shop on scheduling of repairs.
• Ensure machines are rent ready condition (steam cleaned and clean) then place on ready line ensuring proper location and in a uniform position.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading, unchaining equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School or GED and one to two years related yard experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license and a clean DMV driving report.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range $19.00 to $22.00 Hourly

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
