Job summary

Herc Rentals is hiring a Yard Technician in Livermore, CA. The role keeps our yard clean and organized and serves customers with equipment knowledge. This full-time position offers benefits and a clear path to future roles within the company.

You will load/unload equipment, verify tickets, perform routine equipment checks, and assist drivers, customers, and teammates as needed. The job requires a valid driver’s license and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Clean, maintain, and organize heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery.
• Review orders and stage equipment for drivers.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard and work area.
• Answer and resolve customer questions.
• Provide customers with expert advice on the selection, operation and maintenance of all the various types of equipment.

Yard Technicians at Herc Rentals are responsible for keeping our facilities looking clean and professional by maintaining the cleanliness of our equipment and keeping everything organized and easily accessible. What you will do...

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including stretching, turning, twisting, and reaching overhead
• Ability to bend, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for extended periods

Pay Range

$21.00-$24.00 per hour
