Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Yard Team Member to keep outdoor yard and plant areas clean, safe, and organized. You will load and unload materials, support overall plant operations, and perform routine maintenance with a hands‑on, team‑oriented approach.

Ideal candidates have a strong work ethic, enjoy physical labor, and can lift up to 50 pounds. Training is available for motivated individuals, with reliable transportation and commitment to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong work ethic and enjoy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Experience as Yard Team Member, Yard Laborer, Yard Worker, or in construction/landscaping is a plus, but training is available.

Responsibilities

• Keep the yard and plant areas clean and organized by sweeping, shoveling, and general clean‑up tasks.
• Assist with loading and unloading construction materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Support plant operations by providing manual labor wherever needed – no two days are the same.
• Help with routine maintenance tasks like pressure washing, organizing supplies, and general upkeep.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, and inform your supervisor when running low.
• Follow all safety policies and wear PPE at all times.
• Take on other duties as assigned to help keep the plant running efficiently.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

What Sets You Apart

• You're a team player with good communication skills.

• You have a basic understanding of construction materials and tools, or you're eager to learn.
• You have reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• You're willing to follow safety procedures and company protocols.
• You're ready to complete SRM's pre-employment screenings.
