Job summary

DART WAREHOUSE CORPORATION is hiring for a full-time forklift operator to move trailers and merchandise in our warehouse. You will load, unload, pick, and stage products, maintain safety practices, and operate RF devices to complete outbound shipments.

The role requires a Class A CDL, forklift certification, and the ability to work outdoors in variable weather. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided. Training will be provided and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must pass a forklift training program and test.
• Two years spotter/yard jockey or similar experience preferred.
• Class A CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial truck to move trailers to and from dock and yard.
• Operate sit-down forklift within warehouse.
• Unload inbound shipments and store products.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment and perform picking duties.
• Move product from staging/storage into rail cars and trailers.
• Use RF equipment for picking, receiving, put-away, and loading functions.

Job description

The Spotter is responsible for the movement of trailers to facilitate warehouse sorting and the processing of merchandise for shipment or storage. This position does require working in all weather conditions.Class C: $24.00 per hourClass A: $27.00 per hourPrimary Responsibilities:Operates a powered industrial truck to move loaded and empty trailers to and from dock and yard as designatedOperates sit-down forklift within warehouseAbility to follow safety rules of the yard including, dock locks, chocks, and speedPerform other duties as requested by supervisor.Able to operate safely in a heavy traffic areaPerform pre-trip report before operating vehicleUnload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.Ensure inbounds and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Assist in physical inventories if necessary. Ensure proper stock rotation.Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
