Darr Equipment is seeking a Yard Specialist in Houston, TX to monitor inventories of new, used, and rental equipment and provide accurate locations to management. The role includes unloading equipment, batteries, attachments, and freight for parts as needed, and maintaining a tidy yard separating new, used, and rental stock.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, forklift knowledge and certification, and a solid understanding of safety procedures when loading and unloading gear.

• A working knowledge & understanding of safety procedures when loading and unloading equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing lift trucks, attachments, batteries, chargers, and freight for parts if necessary.
• Identify, store, and retrieve take-off attachments for rental, new sales and used sales.
• Prioritize keeping the yard organized and equipment separated between new sales, used sales and rental.
• Log any movement of incoming and outgoing equipment with the gate log and accurate bill of ladings.
• Take photos of all incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Walk the yard daily and keep clean of any debris operate sweeper scrubber if necessary.
• The incumbent must be able to operate all forklifts and allied material handling lines carried by Darr Equipment.

There are rock and gravel areas that equipment is stored on.
