Kighthomecenter is looking for a dedicated Yard Assistant in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In this full-time position, you will support contractors and customers with loading orders and maintaining the Yard. • Serve as a backup driver for non-CDL trucks.

Description

You will assist contractors and do‑it‑yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift, various saws, and nail guns; if you haven’t operated these previously, we will train you and help you attain certification. This position would also serve as a back up driver for our non‑CDL trucks. As needed, you would load and deliver windows, exterior doors, interior trim, interior doors, and other items to jobsites in the surrounding area. A For Hire (formerly chauffeurs) license or CDL, electronic logs, and observing all DOT regulations would be required. If you would like to further your current license we will assist you, and you will have opportunities to move into a full‑time driving position in the future.
