Job summary

Carter Lumber is looking for a team-oriented Yard Associate in Ohio to help customers select and load orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and maintain an organized yard. Training for forklift operation will be provided as needed.

You will join a hands-on, outdoors-focused work environment where reliability and teamwork are valued, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Friendly personality and teamwork.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory through cycle counts and keep yard organized and clean.
• Operate forklift; training and certification provided if needed.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if you haven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.

Requirements

• Must obtain a Driver's License
• Customer service experience
• Friendly personality
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful
• Ability to be a team playerAbility to work outside in all conditions
