Job summary

National Trench Safety in Charleston, SC is seeking a Yard Ops I to perform order picking, unload/load, and general yard duties. You will operate a forklift, service rental equipment, and help keep our inventory accurate.

This full-time role requires safety discipline, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, weekend/overtime availability, and the ability to pass a drug screen. Extensive training will be provided to ensure branding and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of yard or warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Able to wear PPE daily.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass drug screening.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment onto/off trucks, primarily by forklift.
• Count materials and manage inventory.
• Process customer returns; service rental equipment.
• Wash, repaint, and perform repairs to meet branding standards.
• Direct and assist customers as needed.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate safety or yard issues to Yard lead.
• Other duties as required.

Yard Ops I - Charleston

Full-time Regular Operative Charleston, North Charleston, SC, US

Job Summary

The Yard Operations 1 position entails picking orders, processing customer returns, counting materials, loading and unloading trucks, servicing our rental equipment, and other general yard and warehouse duties. Frequent forklift operation is involved. Servicing rental equipment, pressure washing returned equipment to prepare for operations which includes repairs, painting, and related duties to meet branding standards. Extensive training will be required and provided. This position is a safety sensitive role that requires compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials onto and off trucks, primarily by forklift and occasionally by hand.
• Communicate any identified safety or yard issues/requirements to the Yard lead
• Assemble trench boxes and other trench safety equipment.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate the assembly of trench safety equipment.
• Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Operate hand and power tools as required .
• Control traffic passing in and around the yard.
• Touchup and repaint products as required to meet NTS branding standards
• Ability to direct and answer any customer related questions
• Other duties as required
