Job summary

National Trench Safety, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Yard Ops I to support our yard and warehouse operations. You will load and unload equipment with a forklift, process returns, count materials, and service rental gear to meet branding standards. Extensive training will be provided.

This is a safety sensitive role that requires following the drug and alcohol policy and all safety regulations; you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work weekends or overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of yard/warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to wear PPE daily.
• Acceptable driving record to operate company trucks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials onto/off trucks using forklift.
• Communicate safety or yard issues to Yard lead.
• Assemble trench boxes and trench safety equipment.
• Signal equipment operators to assist assembly of trench safety equipment.
• Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Control yard traffic.
• Touch up and repaint products to meet branding standards.
• Ability to answer customer questions.
• Other duties as required.

Yard Ops I - Charleston

Full-time Regular Operative Charleston, North Charleston, SC, US

Job Summary

The Yard Operations 1 position entails picking orders, processing customer returns, counting materials, loading and unloading trucks, servicing our rental equipment, and other general yard and warehouse duties. Frequent forklift operation is involved. Servicing rental equipment, pressure washing returned equipment to prepare for operations which includes repairs, painting, and related duties to meet branding standards. Extensive training will be required and provided. This position is a safety sensitive role that requires compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials onto and off trucks, primarily by forklift and occasionally by hand.


• Communicate any identified safety or yard issues/requirements to the Yard lead


• Assemble trench boxes and other trench safety equipment.


• Signal equipment operators to facilitate the assembly of trench safety equipment.


• Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.


• Operate hand and power tools as required .


• Control traffic passing in and around the yard.


• Touchup and repaint products as required to meet NTS branding standards


• Ability to direct and answer any customer related questions


• Other duties as required
