Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a motivated Yard Attendant/Assistant to organize and maintain the yard, ensuring vehicles are ready for towing and recorded accurately. The role supports efficient yard operations and safe vehicle handling in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with vehicle prep, document arrivals, and communicate with dispatchers and drivers while following safety protocols. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 70 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor inspections and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the yard to maximize space and efficiency.
• Receive incoming towed vehicles and accurately document their arrival.
• Perform basic inspections of vehicles for damage and report findings to management.
• Assist with the preparation of vehicles for towing, including securing and hooking up vehicles safely.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
• Keep the yard clean and free of debris, including snow and ice removal during inclement weather.
• Assist drivers and other team members with loading, unloading, and securing vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory and movements within the yard.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to coordinate yard activities.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on yard equipment and vehicles as needed.
