Job summary

NOV in Odessa, TX is seeking a Material Handler to support safe, organized handling of incoming and outgoing materials in line with quality standards.

You will count and verify quantities, store and ship products, mark materials with Work Order numbers, operate forklifts safely, and maintain clean, orderly work areas while supporting production goals and site safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 8–10 hours daily in outdoor or warehouse environments.
• Must not have recurring physical conditions aggravated by the job.
• Good visual acuity and color perception are essential.
• Able to read, follow written instructions and interpret labels or safety signs.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Capable of learning to operate equipment used in yard operations.

Responsibilities

• Possess a complete understanding of the Yard Program, including all related procedures.
• Accurately count and verify product quantities as materials are received.
• Mark incoming materials clearly with Work Order numbers and customer-specific identifiers.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas—including inside the shop and the phosphate area—free of debris and metal shavings.
• Support and contribute to meeting established production and performance goals.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Operate forklifts safely and maintain valid forklift certification.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor
