Job summary

Ziegler CAT in Altoona, IA is seeking a full-time Yard Operator to support customers, service, and sales personnel. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to safe, efficient yard operations and exceptional service.

Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, operating equipment, greeting customers, documenting transactions, maintaining a clean yard, snow removal, and assisting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in shop or operating equipment or related duties.
• Ability to operate machinery and perform job duties safely.
• This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement.

• Work collaboratively on a team.
• Provide assistance to other departments as requested.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

• Push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
• Lift bulky objects
• Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping - able to use bolt box.
• Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $34.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
