Job summary

National Trench Safety in Chicago (Roselle area) is seeking a Yard Ops I to support yard and warehouse operations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading with a forklift, servicing rental equipment, painting and touchups for branding, and general duties to keep the yard running smoothly.

The role requires adherence to safety regulations, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work occasional weekends/overtime. Training will be provided as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of yard/warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift operating experience preferred.
• Able to wear PPE daily.
• Able to pass a drug screening.
• Clean driving record to drive company pickups.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks, mainly by forklift.
• Communicate safety or yard issues to the Yard lead.
• Assemble trench boxes and other trench safety equipment.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate equipment assembly.
• Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery and tools.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Control yard traffic.
• Touch up and repaint products to meet branding standards.
• Answer customer questions about products or services.
• Other duties as required.
