USAS - U.S. Aviation Services in Chicago seeks a Yard Operations Mail Agent to handle daily yard inventory, mail processing, and coordination with USPS and flight operations. This full-time role requires reliability, safety compliance, and punctuality in a fast-paced airport environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
• Sign or clock in/out at the beginning and end of every shift.
• Report to work in appropriate uniform attire, including PPE.
• Follow all safety protocols.
• Adhere to rules and regulations outlined in Employee Handbook at all times.
• Demonstrate respectful and helpful behavior to fellow employees, airline personnel, passengers, and other company employees.

Responsibilities

• Do daily inventory every four hours in the yard.
• Check and rebook daily holdoff from flights.
• Weekly audit of weight discrepancy mail pouches for USPS.
• Assure rejected mail is placarded for return to the USPS.
• Make sure information on tag matches carts and ULDs.
• Check real time station every hour.
• Check proactive report every two hours.
• Check DVR.
• Check drivers truck log.

Yard Operations Person (YOP) Physical Requirements

• Able to walk, bend, stoop, lift, reach, and push for extended periods of time during the assigned shift.
• Walk andclimbup and down stairs to reach planes, access garbage disposal areas, anddepartfrom planes throughout the shift.
• Able to work in tight spaces, workspaces can be confined and small.
• Ableto lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to inclement weather, including hot and cold temperatures, is common for this role.
