Horizon Auto Logistics in Vance, AL is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily yard operations, vehicle movement, and frontline execution. You will supervise Team Leads and Drivers, assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure safety protocols and client standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in yard operations, logistics, automotive movement, or similar environments.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams in fast-paced operational environments.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than three moving violations within the last three years.
• Experience in industrial or automotive environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Team Leads and Drivers in daily yard and vehicle movement activities.
• Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure operational priorities are achieved.
• Coach employees and provide performance feedback and operational guidance.
• Oversee staffing levels, shift coordination, attendance, and workflow efficiency.
• Enforce safety rules, PPE requirements, and yard driving protocols.
• Conduct safety briefings, inspect work areas, and support incident investigations.
• Ensure all operational tasks meet client expectations and Horizon standards.
• Review operational logs, reports, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational efficiencies.
• Coordinate with HR, Safety, and Operations leadership on workforce and operational matters.
• Maintain daily operational records, productivity tracking, and incident reporting.
