Job summary

Western States Equipment Company in Lewiston, Idaho, is seeking a Yard Operations & Inventory Associate to manage day-to-day logistics for receiving, staging, and shipping equipment and attachments, and to maintain inventory accuracy using Microsoft Dynamics AX and related apps.

You will inspect equipment, support the rental department, maintain yard appearance, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety, compliance, and efficient operations under the Store Manager's guidance.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one-year operating or certification in construction equipment.
• Minimum of 6 months inventory and logistics experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day logistic processes for receiving, staging, and shipping equipment and attachments.
• Reports on equipment availability and location using inventory software.
• Inspects equipment for damage and readiness; assists rental department as needed.
• Maintains steam-cleaning area safety and cleanliness.
• Responds to client, employee, and vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintains yard appearance and coordinates with Store Manager and departments on requests.
