Job summary

ASCO Equipment is seeking a Yard Specialist to perform a variety of manual tasks in the yard and support Branch operations. You will help greet customers, assist with inquiries, and support delivery activities as needed.

The role involves daily yard maintenance, safety-first tasks, and collaboration with Rental, Parts, and Service departments. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work overtime or weekends when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Positive, can-do attitude and detail-oriented.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive rapport with a diverse population.
• Ability to accomplish assignments.
• Overtime and occasional weekend/evening work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in the yard.
• Work with safety as a primary concern.
• Maintain good order and cleanliness of the yard.
• Assist Rental, Parts, and Service Departments when instructed.
• Greet customers in the yard and direct them to the office or unloading areas.
• Assist delivery drivers in loading and unloading products.
• Perform light maintenance and washing of equipment as needed.
• Inspect equipment before rental to ensure rent-ready condition.
• Verify fuel levels and inspect equipment upon return.
