Job summary

HOLT CAT in Texas seeks a yard Asset/Inventory Specialist to locate, receive, inspect, verify, and document assets in a yard environment. You will stage, load/unload, photograph assets, and provide timely inventory updates.

The role requires safety, proper use of forklift, travel, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; must have a high school diploma and industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify and document all assets arriving and departing the yard.
• Accurately stage and prep assets to fulfill incoming requests.
• Load and unload assets, conduct inspection procedures, fuel, and report the condition of assets per safety protocols.
• Provide timely updates for all inventory items leaving or returning to the yard through the Shipping and Receiving function.
• Photograph all incoming and outgoing assets and upload pictures following current processes.
• Troubleshoot, communicate and problem-solve potential shipping and receiving delays on assets.
• Performs, reconciles, and completes inventory counts of machines and work tools.

Job description

This position is responsible for safely locating, receiving, inspecting, verifying, and documenting assets in a yard environment. This position will also provide inventory counts and operate various types and sizes of equipment.

This incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily:

Essential Functions

• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
• Verify and document all assets arriving and departing the yard.
• Accurately stage and prep assets to fulfill incoming requests.
• Load and unload assets, conduct inspect procedures, fuel, and report the condition of assets per safety protocols.
• Provide timely updates for all inventory items leaving or returning to the yard through the Shipping and Receiving function.
• Photograph all incoming and outgoing assets and upload pictures following current processes.
• Troubleshoot, communicate and problem-solve potential shipping and receiving delays on assets.
• Performs, reconciles, and completes inventory counts of machines and work tools.
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance.
• Performs other related duties and fulfill responsibilities as required.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Industry experience preferred.

Travel:

• Some overnight travel is required.

Physical Requirements:

• This position involves extended periods on their feet.
• This role frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
• Employee is required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, crawl, bend, and twist.
• Employees may be required to climb and lift items weighing up to and over 50 pounds.
• Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions.

Work Environment:

• Regularly works outdoors around moving mechanical parts.
• May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather.
• Noise level may be loud at times.
• Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment
• Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment.
• Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high places.
• Frequently works at a fast pace with interruptions.
