Utility Trailer of Texas Inc. is seeking a dependable yard/dock associate in Dallas. The role requires operating a yard dog and forklift, backing trailers into docks, and assisting with loading and unloading goods.

You will also help with shop duties, tire work, and basic maintenance while maintaining safety across all activities. Candidates must hold a CDL and DOT medical certificate, maintain a clean driving record, and demonstrate strong customer service and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Operate yard dog and forklift.
• Maneuver and back trailers into loading docks and assist in loading/unloading.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and dispose of trash, sweeping, and general cleaning.
• Maintain yard mule and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and perform safety checks on trailers and equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Keep yard orderly and move units as directed.
• Move trailers in and out of the shop for technicians.
• Photograph trailers after service for customers via service advisor.
• Dismount and mount tires in shop.
• Take special precautions while driving and follow house policies.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate equipment yard dog and forklift.
• Maneuver and back trailers into loading docks and assist in loading and unloading products.
• Assist in the maintenance of the facility by emptying trash bins, sweeping, discarding materials and normal cleaning duties.
• Maintain yard mule performing basic repairs as needed and keep the yard mule clean.
• Follow all safety protocols including performing safety checks to secure trailer and operating all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they are clean and in good working condition.
• Keep the yard neat and orderly, moving units as directed.
• Move all trailers in and out of the shop for technicians.
• Take photos of trailers upon completion to provide to service advisor, so advisor can give to customer.
• Dismount and mount tires for jobs in shop.
• Take special precautions while driving.
• Follow good housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Must have a valid CDL license, a valid DOT medical certification card and a clean DMV driving record.
• Must have a clean driving record and maintain it.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Excellent Customer Service and outstanding communication and people skills, the ability to be a team player.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to work any shift.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for the entire work shift.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers, climbing stairs, and climbing on and off back end of pick-up truck.
• May also engage in standing, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.
• Due to the open environment of the shop, must be able to work in various weather and temperatureconditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
• Must also be able to tolerate wearing personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to,a hard hat, steel toed safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, safety glasses, goggles.
