Job summary

Reese is seeking a yard/material handler at our Fort Wayne, IN location. This is an entry-level role handling material for sales orders, loading into customer vehicles, unloading from suppliers, and keeping the yard organized.

The job requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors and some weekends. Forklift training can be provided, and benefits include health insurance and a 401k plan.

• Keep warehouse and yard clean and organized.
• Occasionally deliver items in Reese pickup truck or with a trailer.

Job description

Reese is an 88 year old company that distributes Roofing, Siding, Windows and other building materials to builders and contractors. We operate 9 Branches in Indiana and 1 in Kentucky.

The Yard/Material Handlers builds material packages for sales orders our customers place with us. You will either load them into the back of our customers vehicle or will load them onto the back of a Reese delivery vehicle. The Yard/Material Handlers will also unload materials from our suppliers and put these materials away. You will be keeping the warehouse/yard area organized and clean. You may also be asked to deliver items in a Reese pick up truck and/or while pulling a trailer.

We are looking to hire Yard/Material Handlersat our Fort Wayne, IN. location.

This is considered an Entry Level position.

Highlights-

• The pay is $17.00per Hour plus Benefits; (See below)
• Hours are 7:00am – 5:00pm M-F, and when scheduled, Saturdays 7:00am-Noon;
• You will be handling items that can be as heavy as 100lbs often;
• You must have a current Driver's License;
• You will be operating a Forklift; we can train you how;
• You will be working outdoors often;
• May be pulling a small trailer;

Job Requirements

• Required to pass a Drug Test. We do not screen for THC;
• Required to pass a Criminal Background Screening;
• Required to drive a forklift or have ability to learn how to drive a forklift;
• Required to have you own reliable transportation to and from work;
• Required to do basic math skills-Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division;
• Required to lift and carry 100 lbs. unaided;
• Required to work in all weather conditions, hot, cold, rain and snow;
• Required to work weekends as scheduled;

• $17.00/ Hour, paid every two weeks on Thursday;
