Position Warehouse Operator / Delivery Driver

The Warehouse Utility is empowered to keep our communities safe by ensuring customers receive the materials they need to provide clean water and heating/cooling.

Responsibilities

• Working cooperatively in a team within the warehouse to efficiently receive, verify, stage and stock incoming material in order to maintain inventory standards
• Verifying all loads to ensure accurate customer deliveries
• Properly load and unload the materials from the truck, and maintain inventory control
• Operating the class of vehicle necessary for the assignment
• Driving in various conditions, including urban and construction settings
• Deliver high quality customer service and professionalism

What You Need To Succeed

• 21 years of age or older
• Must have and maintain valid driver’s license for assigned vehicle class
• Class C – Anything 26,000 lbs or less combined gross weight
• Class B – Box truck with a combined vehicle weight of 26,001 lbs or more
• Have and maintain a clean driving record

What You Can Learn Or Develop On The Job

• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Forklift Certification
• Skills and knowledge to advance your career into leadership, CDL driver, or sales opportunities

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Attendance – Ability to maintain the scheduled days and hours, including onsite presence at the assigned location as specified
• Physical Capacities – Lift up to 50 pounds frequently, may include kneeling, squatting, climbing, and walking
• Operation of Office Equipment – Use of computers, copiers, and other office equipment, with related vision and dexterity requirements
• Oral and Written Communication Skills – Clarity of speech, comprehension, and writing ability
• Mental Capacities – Various attributes including reliability, adaptability, attention to detail, problem solving, and time management

Additional physical demands of this role may include bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 75 pounds, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.
