Target in Detroit is seeking a Logistics Yard Coordinator to manage daily trailer movements within our distribution center yards. The role promotes a safety-first culture and collaborates with carriers to ensure on-time shipment and compliant operations.

You will operate Target-owned vehicles, update the yard management system, and work cross-functionally with First Mile Transportation to monitor trailer pools and freight flow, ensuring yard efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily trailer movement within Target’s Distribution Center yards.
• Maintain a safety-first culture and address unsafe acts with carriers.
• Operate Target-owned vehicles and perform yard audit routines.
• Update the yard management system to reflect current trailer status.
• Coordinate with First Mile Transportation to monitor trailer pools and freight flow.
