The ideal candidate will have experience in yard operations and safety best practices, with forklift certification and familiarity with yard management software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in yard operations, logistics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations in yard/warehouse environments.
• Ability to operate yard equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily yard operations, including movement and storage of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor safety compliance and enforce policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assign tasks and guide yard personnel to meet deadlines.
• Inspect yard equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain records of yard activities, inventory, and equipment usage.
• Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Train new yard staff on procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
