Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Yard Lead to manage the yard in a busy industrial setting. You will help keep the site organized, ensure safety policies are followed, and coordinate daily deliveries based on product availability and customer needs.

In this role you will work with the plant team to prep items for loading, operate heavy equipment as required, and maintain accurate inventory cycles. A high school diploma and forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a related industry preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Plant Manager to ensure vehicles and drivers comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain yard organization and orderliness.
• Ensure products are stored correctly and dunnage is properly placed.
• Schedule workload and coordinate daily delivery schedules based on sales requests and product availability.
• Verify loads are loaded and relevant materials are shipped to jobsites as required.
• Collaborate with production to identify items ready for delivery.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with warehouse for item receiving.
• Perform daily inventory cycle counts of items and OPC.
• Assist locating items in the yard.
• Other duties as needed.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment. The Yard Lead will help maintain yard organization while ensuring compliance to safety policies.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Plant Manager in performing all tasks necessary to ensure that all vehicles and drivers are safe and in compliance with all legal and regulatory agencies
• Maintain the yard in an orderly fashion
• Ensure all product is stored in correct location and dunnage is properly placed
• Schedule workload and coordinate daily delivery schedules based on sale's request for product and product availability
• Verify all loads are loaded and dunnage is properly placedVerify all erection materials are shipped to the jobsites as required
• Work closely with the production team to determine items ready for delivery
• Operating heavy equipment as needed
• Coordinate with the warehouse personnel on receiving items
• Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory and OPC items
• Assist in locating items in the yard
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• 3 or more years of experience in a related industry preferred
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work under limited supervision
• Good attendance and positive attitude a must
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day
