Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, seeks a Yard Lead to manage yard organization in a manufacturing setting and ensure safety policies are followed. The role supports the Plant Manager and coordinates deliveries, inventory, and material movements.

Responsibilities include maintaining order in the yard, loading verification, shipping materials to jobsites, and collaborating with production for timely deliveries. Heavy equipment operation and inventory counts are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in related industry preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Plant Manager to ensure vehicles and drivers are safe and compliant with regulations.
• Maintain the yard in an orderly fashion.
• Store product in correct locations and place dunnage properly.
• Schedule workload and coordinate daily delivery schedules based on sale's requests and product availability.
• Verify loads and that dunnage is properly placed.
• Ensure erection materials are shipped to jobsites as required.
• Collaborate with production teams to determine items ready for delivery.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff on receiving items.
• Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory and OPC items.
• Assist in locating items in the yard.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment. The Yard Lead will help maintain yard organization while ensuring compliance to safety policies.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Plant Manager in performing all tasks necessary to ensure that all vehicles and drivers are safe and in compliance with all legal and regulatory agencies


• Maintain the yard in an orderly fashion


• Ensure all product is stored in correct location and dunnage is properly placed


• Schedule workload and coordinate daily delivery schedules based on sale's request for product and product availability


• Verify all loads are loaded and dunnage is properly placed


• Verify all erection materials are shipped to the jobsites as required


• Work closely with the production to the team to determine items ready for delivery


• Operating heavy equipment as needed


• Coordinate with the warehouse personnel on receiving items


• Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory and OPC items


• Assist in locating items in the yard


• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent


• 3 or more years of experience in a related industry preferred


• Ability to operate a forklift


• Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook


• Ability to work under limited supervision


• Good attendance and positive attitude a must


• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day
