Job summary

Wildman is seeking a Yard Jockey with CDL A to support our Midwest delivery network. You will handle loading/unloading, operate hand-held devices, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while complying with safety and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years’ CDL Class A experience in good standing.
• DOT regulations knowledge and administration experience required.
• Must pass a DOT physical and meet minimum physical requirements to perform essential functions.
• Flexible daily start and end times for route coverage.

Responsibilities

• Move empty depot trailers for loading of clean product daily.
• Transport FAS trailer for direct sale paper products from FAS to WUL for unloading daily.
• Dock and load Spirit trailer with outgoing barrels daily (unloading clean barrels weekly).
• Unload first depot shuttle of soiled product upon arrival daily.
• Keep truck clean and notify Fleet Managers of any truck issues.
• Participate in safety meetings and wear PPE; adhere to OSHA training and report incidents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Moving empty depot trailers for loading of clean product daily
• Transport FAS trailer for direct sale paper products from FAS to WUL for unloading daily
• Dock and load Spirit trailer with outgoing barrels daily (unloading clean barrels weekly)
• Unload first depot shuttle of soiled product upon arrival daily
• Keep truck clean and notify Fleet Managers of any truck issues.
• Utilized ergonomic work practices
• Participate in safety meetings, use safe driving practices as measured by Samsara, wear appropriate PPE, and complete OSHA Training
• Know and follow any timely reporting procedures and escalations should an incident occur.
• Maintain flexibility in schedule to cover all shifts
• Conduct yourself at all times and in all business interactions consistently with Wildman Core Values

REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 - 5+ years’ experience of CDL Class A in good standing
• Driver DOT regulation knowledge and administration experience required
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and meet the minimum physical requirements to perform the essential functions of the role
• Must be able to accommodate flexible daily start and end times for route coverage

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIRMENTS

• Requires maximum physical effort; required to sit for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, lift, push and walk.
• Must be able to drive a truck/semi.
• Ability to read, enter and use efficiently a hand-held computer.
• Ability to use telephone to communicate with internal support personnel.
