Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. in Sparks, NV is hiring a Yard Jockey / Shop Support to move semi-trailers, back trailers into service bays, and keep yards clean and organized.

CDL Class A or yard jockey experience is preferred, with required certifications and a strong safety mindset. You’ll work in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment, handling forklifts and yard equipment while ensuring accuracy in time logs and work orders.

Qualifications

• Experience as yard jockey or CDL Class A preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Completion of Yard Truck and Forklift certifications.
• Demonstrated safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and time logs.

Responsibilities

• Safely move semi-trailers around the yard using a yard truck (yard horse).
• Back trailers into service bays and staging areas.
• Wash trailers inside and out to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Fuel and support fleet maintenance operations.
• Keep the shop, wash bay, and fuel island clean and organized.
• Operate forklifts, company trucks, and yard equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a high-performance team.
• Complete additional duties to support daily shop functions.
