Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Jockey Operator for 2nd shift in Ranson, WV. The role involves organizing trailers on-site with the Yard Jockey truck and may require forklift use to load and unload as needed.

You will inspect equipment, verify shipping documents, and complete required paperwork while following company safety rules. Qualifications include at least a 12th-grade education, a minimum of 6 months driving a commercial vehicle or yard jockey truck, and the ability to pass a skills

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
Minimum 12th-grade education completed.
At least 6 months of experience driving a commercial vehicle or yard jockey truck.
Ability to read and verify shipping documents.
No CDL required for this position.
Ability to pass a driving test/skills evaluation in a yard jockey truck.

Responsibilities

Safely drives in the facility, staging and shipping loads in various weather conditions.
Completes daily equipment inspection sheets.
Loads and unloads trucks to assist production.
Inspects equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
Secures and inspects loads for proper securing.
Maintains shipping documents and completes required paperwork.
Operates a forklift to load/unload trailers as needed.
Follows forklift policies and participates in safety programs.
