Aerotek is hiring for a Yard Jockey / Heavy Equipment Operator in Eden Prairie, MN. This contract-to-hire role features a 4-day work week, daytime schedule, and steady, hands-on work operating forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment.

Weekly pay at $25-$27 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package accompany a team-driven, safety-conscious environment within a structural steel fabrication setting.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in industrial settings.
• Background in material handling, warehousing, or shipping/receiving.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in an active industrial setting.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty forklifts to move, organize, and stage steel and other large materials
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Support shipping and receiving activities
• Stage materials for welders and fabricators
• Operate overhead and jib cranes to position materials
• Assist with basic fabrication and shop support duties
• Maintain an organized, safe, productive yard and shop
• Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and production teams
