Job summary

Allen Distribution is seeking a Yard Jockey/Forklift Operator Hybrid for the 1st shift in Allentown. The role involves safely moving trailers between the yard and dock, and operation of power equipment to load/unload goods. Candidates should have a CDL, forklift experience, and a strong safety record. OT may be required to meet business needs.

Position type is Full Time with a 7am-5:30pm schedule (Tue-Fri) and potential shift differential. Report to General Manager in the Operations department.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers.
• Ability to drive a Class A tractor trailer on commercial routes when required.
• Must be able to operate power equipment to load/unload product.
• Must follow DOT regulations and company policies 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport trailers from yard to dock and dock to yard.
• Use of power equipment to load and unload product.
• Safely unload, load, transport, locate, stack and count product.
• Follow safety, security, and SOPs in daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and inspect equipment before/after use.
