Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of yard hostler experience, can operate a yard goat, and can safely maneuver trailers in a busy yard. CDL is not required, and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable yard hostler experience within the past 3 years.
• Experience operating a yard goat is required.
• Ability to safely maneuver and position trailers in a busy yard environment.
• Must be able to perform blindside backing.
• No medical card required; CDL not required.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a yard goat to move trailers throughout the facility.
• Switch trailers from dock to dock and position equipment as needed.
• Complete 50+ trailer moves per shift in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform safe backing maneuvers, including blindside backing.
• Ensure trailers are properly staged for loading and unloading operations.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Communicate with warehouse and shipping teams to support operational needs.
• Follow all company safety procedures and yard traffic regulations.
