Job summary

Patriot Erectors, LLC is seeking a Shop Floor Supervisor to coordinate and direct material processing activities on the production floor. You will lead a shift, monitor productivity, and ensure safety and quality across all operations.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervising experience, ability to read fabrication drawings, and strong communication skills. This position is based in Saginaw, TX, and offers health benefits, 401(k), and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years industry experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Able to read and interpret production schedules and fabrication drawings.
• Must communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

Responsibilities

• Maximize productivity of people and equipment on the shop floor.
• Supervise shift staff in accordance with policies to meet performance goals.
• Direct, plan and assist scheduling of work across departments.
• Promote housekeeping, safety and quality within area of responsibility.
• Maintain timely communication between shifts and departments for continuity.
• Maintain records of hourly employee performance for compliance.
• Administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist changes in methods and equipment as required.

Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to direct and coordinate activities on the shop floor as it relates to the processing of materials.

Essential Job Functions

• Maximize the productivity of people and equipment.
• Supervises assigned shift/staff consistent with established policies and procedures to meet assigned performance goals.
• Directs, coordinates, plans and assists scheduling of work.
• Promotes and supports good housekeeping practices, safety and quality within area of responsibility.
• Maintains effective and timely communication between shifts and departments to ensure continuity and cooperation.
• Maintains necessary records for performance of hourly employees to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Administers necessary disciplinary actions.
• Aids in development and adaptation to changes in methods, procedures and new or rebuilt equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three-Five years industry experience, including supervisory responsibilities
• Knowledgeable in the operation and trouble shooting of multiple production lines
• Must be able to communicate effectively (written or verbal)
• Must have basic mathematical skills; works with production schedules, counts, production weights, and measurements
• Ability to read fabrication drawings
• Must be able to read and interpret production schedules, instructions, and procedures
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to work in shop environment and be exposed to heat conditions
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts on a rotating shift basis
• Bilingual preferred

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

• 3G Certification
• Minimum of two years welder lead level welding experience
