Job summary

Knight-Energy-Services is seeking a yard/warehouse supervisor to manage daily shipping, receiving, and inventory control at our Odessa, Texas site. The role includes assigning tasks, overseeing loading/unloading, and training new yard staff on safety and product knowledge.

Ideal candidates will have forklift experience, the ability to operate a company vehicle if required, and comfort working in a fast-paced outdoor environment with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving or yard operations.
• Forklift experience is required; may operate a company vehicle if needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day shipping, receiving, operations, and inventory control.
• Assign daily tasks to yard personnel and ensure policy compliance.
• Conduct safety checks (PPE, procedures) and ensure equipment readiness.
• Prepare and reconcile bills of lading and packing slips.
• Train new yard employees on product knowledge, safety, and housekeeping.
• Oversee loading/unloading and movement of materials on site.
• Ensure lockout/tag out procedures are understood and followed.
• Maintain clean outside areas and support incident investigations as needed.

Description

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day shipping, receiving, operations, and inventory control.

• Assigning daily tasks
• Conduces periodic safety checks (PPE and ensuring policies are being followed)
• Cleans, repairs, and ensures all equipment are in working condition and ready
• Submit documentation for incident investigations, near miss reporting, hazard identification and implementation of corrective actions
• Inspects loading operations for outgoing delivery to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, load limits, and safety regulations
• Prepares and reconciles bills of lading and packing slips
• Operating, maintaining, and training on safe forklift operation
• Directs the loading, unloading, and movement of materials on the premises
• Provides on-the-job training to new yard employees including product knowledge of items stored in yard, housekeeping, and safety procedures
• Understand, support, implement, and follow lockout/tag out procedures
• Ensures outside areas are kept neat and clean
• Other duties as assigned
