Altorfer Inc. is seeking a Yard Technician to prepare, inspect, and clean new and used farm equipment. You will load, unload, stage, and perform light repairs, while ensuring accurate shipping and receiving records.

In this role you will maintain the yard's safety, operate basic machinery including a forklift, and work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of farm equipment required.
• Must operate and control the pressure washing equipment.
• Agr machinery operation experience preferred.
• Previous mechanical and electrical experience preferred.
• Basic forklift experience is required.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and complete duties in a safe, fast paced manner.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR per policy).

• Track all shipping and receiving of equipment within the yard.
• Scan all equipment during delivery and return processes as well as maintaining associated paperwork.
• Responsible for the upkeep of the yard, making sure it’s a safe environment at all times for employees and customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position will work in a Shop environment the majority of the time with some outside work, exposed to elements of weather, paint and chemicals. This position requires a lot of climbing in, out, on and around machines with heights up to 15’ high. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 50lbs. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level in the shop/warehouse may range from moderate to high. Must be flexible during peak season working overtime as needed. Occasional local travel may be required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
