Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a Yard Driver to move equipment around the facility, inspect gear, and report defects for repairs. The role operates in a dirty, wet, noisy environment in all weather conditions.

The position is part-time (20–25 hours per week) with duties including yard truck operation, trailer transfers, and paperwork. Prior tire recycling or manufacturing experience is a plus, and forklift certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
• Willingness to be trained and certified to operate a forklift.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to back trailers into designated areas for loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard trucks in a safe manner during roll-on/roll-off procedures involving both loaded and empty containers.
• Transfer trailers from one truck to another and position them appropriately within the yard.
• Complete necessary paperwork involving trailer numbers, gross weights, tare weights, net weights, and type of material.
• Assist in loading and unloading tasks when needed.
• Back trailers into designated areas for loading/unloading.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times.
• Maintain the yard truck, ensuring it is in good operating condition.
• This is a part- time position 20 - 25 hours a week
