Job summary

Timberline Rock and Roll is seeking a Yard Equipment Operator to manage the daily maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of the Materials yard and related facilities. The role involves operating equipment such as wood grinders, screen plants, and related tasks in a team environment.

You will work with loaders, drivers, and management to ensure efficient execution, adhere to safety policies, and support customers with solid service.

Primary Operational Objective:

The Yard Equipment operator is responsible for the daily maintenance , cleanliness, and organization of the Materials yard, screening operations, wood grinding, compost facility , and equipment . Working closely with other loaders , drivers, and m anagement, this position will ensure efficient and timely execution of tasks .

May also run skid-steer s, forklifts, water truck , and motor graders

Builds compost rows and screens product as needed

Screens materials, mixes soil products, and l oads out customers

Treats clients and potential clients with the utmost respect

Communicates efficiently to drivers who are delivering materials where to drop them off to avoid costly contamination

Reports any accidents, incidents or injuries to Operations Manager and/or Safety Manager

Requirements

• Knowledge of Equipment, Wood Grinders, Stackers, Screen Plants
• Demonstrate dependability and efficient work practices . Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Good listening skills and ability to follow verbal instructions
• Must be highly adaptable to the kinds of changes that come along with working in an entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to work in and promote a team-oriented environment
• Ability to speak, read and write English . Bilingual in Spanish is helpful but not required
• Perform all duties in a safe and productive manner , and make recommendations for a safer work area
• Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures to achieve safety objectives
• Respectful and tactful approach to all customers and employees
• Must pass background check consisting of criminal records and pre-employment drug screening and alcohol tests
• You must be willing to do things outside of your job description. All team members help and support other departments when necessary
• Must have a smartphone with the ability to download and use mobile apps
• Maintain a professional appearance, including personal hygiene and grooming, to represent the company in the best possible way

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to lift to up to 75 lbs . (heavier things will require another person to help)

Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching and standing

Must be able to work in all types of weather
