Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Yard Driver to maintain yard organization and safely spot trailers at dock doors and throughout the yard. You will also update trailer moves or any yard activity via a hand-held device.

The role emphasizes spotting trailers, driving yard trucks, and performing general yard tasks with attention to safety and accuracy, reporting to the Operations Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid, active Driver’s License.
• Ability to load and unload heavy items.
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Responsibilities

• Safely spotting trailers at dock doors and yard locations; driving yard trucks and spotting at designated locations.
• Perform general warehouse tasks as needed.
• Yard auditing; ensure yard accuracy by using the Yard Management System.
