Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Second Shift Non-DOT Yard Driver to operate and switch trailers, refuel equipment, and keep yard operations safe and efficient. This full-time role runs Monday through Sunday, 6:00pm–6:00am, with shift premiums for evenings and weekends.

Compensation includes $21.80 per hour plus $1.50 shift premium (Mon–Fri) and $3.00 weekend premium (Sat & Sun), plus monthly attendance bonuses and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year verifiable experience driving, switching or commercial tractor.

Responsibilities

• Switch trailers to and from docks to maintain efficient operations.
• Maintain fuel levels and refuel equipment as needed.
• Load and unload trucks, verify counts and check for damages.
• Perform daily yard checks and ensure security of loads.
• Prepare logs and records per company procedures.
• Inspect truck equipment and report maintenance needs.

Shift:

Monday - Sunday 6:00pm – 6:00am Rotating Shift

Pay:

$21.80per hour + $1.50 Shift Premium (Monday - Friday) + $3.00 Weekend Premium (Saturday & Sunday)

Role Purpose

Drives switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations. Makes decisions in sequencing schedule to maintain efficient loading and unloading operations. Loads and unloads trailers and verifies product count. Maintains a clean and safe docking area and reports any maintenance or safety issues to supervision. Refuels vehicles on site and documents locations and condition of equipment.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain safe and efficient dock operation by switching trailers and equipment to and from docks.
• Maintains equipment fuel levels and refuels equipment during appropriate times.
• Loads and unloads trucks, verifying the count and condition of product. Reports overages, shortages, and damages.
• Performs daily yard checks.
• Properly secures loads, ensuring loads are within local, state and federal guidelines.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and/or logs as required policies and procedures.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water. Notifies supervision of current or anticipated repair needs.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of one year verifiable experience driving, switching or commercial tractor
