Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Second Shift Non‑DOT Yard Driver to operate switching equipment, tractors and straight trucks, load and unload trailers, and keep the dock area clean and safe.

Shift is Monday–Sunday, 6:00pm–6:00am rotating. Pay is $21.80 per hour plus $1.50 shift premium (Mon–Fri) and $3.00 weekend premium (Sat–Sun). Full‑time benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and strong training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year verifiable experience driving, switching or commercial tractor.

Responsibilities

• Drives switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations.
• Maintains safe and efficient dock operation by switching trailers and equipment to and from docks.
• Loads and unloads trucks, verifying the count and condition of product; reports discrepancies.
• Performs daily yard checks and ensures loads are secured per guidelines.
• Inspects truck equipment and reports repair needs to supervision.

Position: Second Shift Non-DOT Yard Driver

Shift: Monday - Sunday 6:00pm –; 6:00am Rotating Shift

Pay: $21.80per hour + $1.50 Shift Premium (Monday - Friday) + $3.00 Weekend Premium (Saturday & Sunday)

Role Purpose

Drives switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations. Makes decisions in sequencing schedule to maintain efficient loading and unloading operations. Loads and unloads trailers and verifies product count. Maintains a clean and safe docking area and reports any maintenance or safety issues to supervision. Refuels vehicles on site and documents locations and condition of equipment.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain safe and efficient dock operation by switching trailers and equipment to and from docks.
• Maintains equipment fuel levels and refuels equipment during appropriate times.
• Loads and unloads trucks, verifying the count and condition of product. Reports overages, shortages, and damages.
• Performs daily yard checks.
• Properly secures loads, ensuring loads are within local, state and federal guidelines.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and/or logs as required policies and procedures.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water. Notifies supervision of current or anticipated repair needs.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of one year verifiable experience driving, switching or commercial tractor
