Job summary

PLA of Family Companies is seeking a Yard Driver in Bridgeton, MO to safely operate yard trucks and move trailers within the facility. You will support dock operations and may assist with forklift tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. A minimum of 1 year yard or driving experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of driving or yard experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to read and speak English well enough to follow safety procedures and instructions.
• Strong commitment to safety and efficiency in logistics.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard truck to move trailers safely and efficiently.
• Position trailers at correct dock doors for loading/unloading.
• Perform routine trailer checks and maintain yard organization.
• Inspect yard truck and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Record trailer moves on the movement log and verify loads.
