Morgan Steel LLC is seeking a Yard Driver in Memphis, TN to safely move trailers within the yard and support loading/unloading operations. You will operate yard trucks, coordinate with warehouse teams, and adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role requires a Class A CDL and at least 1 year of flatbed driving experience; night shifts are available to support operations at the steel distribution center.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL is required.

• Experience operating large vehicles in confined spaces is advantageous.

Job Purpose: The Yard Driver at Morgan Steel LLC is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard, ensuring timely positioning for loading and unloading processes. This role requires a professional driver with a Class A CDL and preferably one year of flatbed driving experience to support the operational needs of the steel distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard trucks to transport trailers to and from designated locations within the yard.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure trailers are positioned correctly for loading and unloading.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and trailers to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and yard inventory.
• Assist in loading and unloading trailers as needed, ensuring secure and proper handling of materials.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams to optimize yard operations.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications: Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience

• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required
• At least 1 year of flatbed driving experience is preferred
• Experience in operating and maneuvering large vehicles in confined spaces is advantageous
