Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Yard Driver for the Moraine, OH area to support post-harvest warehouse operations. The role requires a valid CDL Class A, forklift experience, ability to lift 20–80+ lbs, and comfort with outdoor conditions.

You’ll unload, position loads, and help ensure accurate deliveries on, or between, shifts. Two shifts are offered: Afternoons 2:30pm–11:00pm at $28.00/hr and Midnights 10:30pm–7:00am at $29.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Experience driving and operating forklifts and hand lifts.
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
• Proven safe driving record.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload products from trailers using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift or by hand and place in designated storage areas.
• Move trailers between storage locations and manufacturing facility using jockey trucks.
• Verify accuracy of truck loads and obtain proper signatures.
• Perform customer service responsibilities to enhance client experience.

Responsibilities

YARD DRIVER

Afternoons 230pm to 11pm- $28.00 hourly rate

Midnights 1030pm to 7am- $29.00 hourly rate

• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift or by hand and place in designated storage areas

• Utilize jockey trucks to move trailers between storage locations and manufacturing facility

• Verify accuracy of truck loads and obtain proper signatures

• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required

• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
