Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Trailer spotting and yard organization.
• Move trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and processing areas.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard equipment.
• Ensure trailers are properly secured and positioned for loading/unloading.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and warehouse staff.
• Monitor yard conditions and report safety concerns immediately.
• Complete required logs and documentation accurately.

Leadpoint Business Services is currently seeking a Yard Dog Driver to perform a variety of trailer movement tasks within our recycling facility in Charlotte, NC. The primary responsibility of the Yard Dog Driver is to safely and efficiently move trailers and containers throughout the yard to support production and shipping operations. You’ll work closely with the On-Site Manager and operations team to ensure smooth workflow and maintain a safe yard environment.

This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement. We’re looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals with strong attention to detail and experience operating yard trucks or similar equipment.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Education and/or experience:Valid Driver's License (CDL not required)
• One (1) year experience with yard jockeying preferred
• Knowledge, skills and abilities:Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Physical requirements: Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to frequently get in and out of vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment (concrete floors and changing temperatures)
