Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking a dependable general laborer to support our Boise operations in Idaho. You will operate equipment safely, perform routine labor tasks, and assist in organizing inventory while following company safety policies.

Responsibilities include completing required paperwork, using hand tools, and being flexible to shifts, including days, nights and weekends as needed. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to multiple locations are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in construction materials industry preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations.

  • Operate equipment such as forklift or front loader in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, lifting, and moving materials.
  • Assist in organizing inventory to be safely retrieved or stored.
  • Complete required paperwork for accounting, payroll, operations or material inventory as directed.
  • Always work safely and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities
  • Operates equipment, such as a forklift or front loader in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct routine tasks that will require general labor activities such as shoveling, lifting, and or moving materials with or without assistance and other routine tasks that may require the use of hand tools.
  • Assist in organizing inventory to be safely and efficiently retrieved or stored.
  • Complete required paperwork for accounting, payroll, operations or material inventory as directed.
  • Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors.
  • Ability to wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Construction Building Materials experience
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of general repairs, maintenance work, landscaping, construction skills and tools.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel around to different locations.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts which include days, nights, weekends and overtime.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers.
