About The Team

We conduct hundreds of live auctions annually worldwide. Our team includes equipment inspectors, yard managers, operators, administrative staff, and customer service representatives, all working together to ensure successful multi-million dollar auctions.

Job Description

The Yard Attendant safely receives, processes, lines up, supports on sale day, and checks out consigned equipment for auction, adhering to Ritchie Bros. customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive and release (check-in/check-out) consigned equipment.
• Use auction listings to organize equipment display prior to auction.
• Operate heavy and light equipment.
• Perform facility inspections and provide housekeeping or maintenance as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance on RBA equipment.
• Manage keys for equipment.
• Operate forklift for loading/unloading equipment.
• Assemble equipment, such as dozer blades.
• Check fluid and fuel levels.
• Set out signage, flags, and trash receptacles for auction day.
• Drive sound trucks.
• Hold 'This item for sale' signs.
• Arrange operators in rolling stock and park sold equipment on the ramp.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
