About The Team

It requires a dedicated group of energetic individuals in various full-time and part-time roles, including equipment inspectors, yard managers, operators, administrative staff, and customer service representatives, to ensure successful multi-million dollar auctions.

Job Description

The Yard Attendant safely receives, processes, lines up, supports sale day activities, and checks out consigned equipment for the auction. Adherence to Ritchie Bros.' customer service standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Receives and releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auction.
• Uses auction listings to prepare equipment for display prior to sale.
• Drives and operates heavy and light equipment.
• Performs facility inspections according to checklists and provides housekeeping or maintenance as needed.
• Performs basic maintenance on RBA-owned equipment.
• Manages keys for equipment.
• Operates forklift to load/unload equipment.
• Performs basic assembly of equipment, such as dozer blades.
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment.
• Sets out signage, flags, and trash receptacles for auction day.
• Drives sound trucks.
• Holds ‘This item for sale’ signs.
• Places operators in rolling stock.
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
